With the heightened awareness of the issue of childhood obesity-from the White House to the schoolhouse-the child nutrition environment has become a focus of attention. The school environment has become a very active arena, with thought leaders moving forward with key decisions on nutrition and physical activity.

National Dairy Council is hosting a FREE webinar:
Making a Difference: How Health Professionals Can Help Improve Child Nutrition, November 17 from 11:30-1:00.

This webinar will give an environmental perspective on childhood obesity through the personal accounts of a panel of experts who will offer a variety of strategies for health and nutrition professionals. It will cover the resources available to health and nutrition professionals to help fight the childhood obesity epidemic, highlight programs that are making a difference and provide suggestions on how to get involved and empower youth.

Speakers include Nutrition for the Future's Dayle Hayes, MS, RD; Action for Healthy Kids' Sarah Titzer, MHA; School Nutrition Association's Helen Phillips, SNS; and National Dairy Council's Nancy Sandbach, MS, RD, and Tab Forgac, MS, RD, LD, SNS (also of the American Dietetic Association's Kids Eat Right).
