VDA Computer Workshop

5-9pm Wednesday, October 27th and will be our VDA computer workshop. Some basics and some more advanced issues will be covered. Milke Kanfer, RD, Computer Network Administrator at Chittenden South Supervisory District, will cover Google Apps- a Google domain that includes the ability to share docs, it includes email and websites. Other social networking tools will be covered, but also threats- viruses, malware, etc, and how that stuff can present itself. There will be time for Q&A. Bring your laptops! Go Paperless and Go Green!

There will be snacks and beverages provided.

It will be FREE of charge to all VDA Board members and VDA members.

The inservice will be in the computer lab at the Williston Central School. The school is located in the village of Williston, behind the library which is across the street from the library. When entering the school drive, head around back to the right of the school. All the way back is the door near the cafeteria and there is parking in that area. The door at the end of the building, just before the gate to the track.

Once in the school, make a right at the first hallway and head all the way down. The lab is almost to the end of the hallway on the right. I'll have a sign outside the door. We can start at 5:30 and go the 9:00. There are 24 desktop computers which we can use. People are also free to use bring their laptops.

Mike has a Google Apps domain which we will be able to use. He'll have temporary accounts set up and ready to go!!
