Great American Milk Drive

Join your fellow Vermonters to bring Wholesome Dairy to the Vermont Foodbank.

OPPORTUNITY: 1 in 6 Americans, including more than 12 million families, face hunger, and many rely on food banks like the Vermont Foodbank for nutrition assistance. Milk is frequently requested by people who rely on food banks, but it is rarely donated. The Great American Milk Drive offers an opportunity to collect milk donations for Vermont families who are facing hunger at six participating Hannaford stores.

HOW YOU CAN HELP:
Volunteer at a participating store by collecting milk donations during the day of the event.
Talk with Hannaford customers about the issue of hunger in the community and let them know about the need for milk at the Vermont Foodbank.
Collect milk donations and thank donors.
Share information about The Great American Milk Drive and the work of the Vermont Foodbank with customers.
Volunteers will receive lunch vouchers as a token of thanks.

WHO WE ARE: What makes New England so special? Must Be The Milk! Must Be The Milk is an initiative of New England Dairy Promotion Board. The goals of the campaign are to educate New Englanders about dairy farming and encourage them to purchase local milk and dairy products.
